WP Welcomes New Academic Coordinator
The Writing Program is pleased to welcome our new Academic Coordinator, Martha K. Love.
Martha has worked at Syracuse University for eight years, first in Parking Services and for the past five years as an office coordinator for the School of Social Work, where her job responsibilities included planning events, troubleshooting technological issues, organizing the graduate admission process, managing course evaluation, supporting departmental committees, and scheduling rooms.
She is also in the process of completing her BS in Information Management & Technology in the School of Information Studies. She plans to work towards a concentration in database management and also plans to minor in Nutrition.
A native of Austin, Texas—where her family still lives—Martha moved to Syracuse in 2005. She enjoys Zumba, aqua fitness, camping, and hiking in her spare time and describes herself as having "a personal interest in equality, diversity and identity."
She sings in the Syracuse Pops Chorus and calls herself a NY Giants and Yankees fan. Martha is recently engaged and has two cats, Leo (who moved with her from Texas) and Daisy.
To the Writing Program, she says, "I look forward to meeting all of you and working with y'all in the near future. (See how I snuck in that TX y'all?)"
