About The Graduate Editing CenterWe apologize for the inconvenience, but due to extraordinary demand this year, the GEC has exhausted its resources and will no longer accept projects this summer. Thanks to your support, however, we will reopen in Fall 2008. The Syracuse University Graduate Editing Center (GEC) provides free editing and proofreading services to SU graduate students. The editors at the GEC work with a range of texts, from dissertations and master's theses to articles, conference presentations, and grant proposals. The GEC is staffed by writing instructors and advanced students in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric, the Writing Program's doctoral program. Our staff are experienced editors and are qualified to work with writers whose first language is not English. To discuss your project with an editor, complete an appointment form.
