Brooke Honored for Excellence in Graduate Education

Collin Gifford Brooke, Assistant Professor of Writing and Rhetoric and CCR Director Graduate Studies, has been honored with a 2006 Excellence in Graduate Education Faculty Recognition Award. The award is presented faculty based on demonstrated excellence and lasting impact in areas such as: mentoring of graduate students for scholarly/creative activity, and or teaching; graduate instructional performance; and/or special graduate advising or mentoring efforts.

Of his selection for the award, Brooke said “I am particularly flattered” because the criteria reflect “what I’ve been trying to do as graduate director for the past one and a half years.”

The award was presented at a ceremony in April that also honored outstanding Teaching Assistants.
