Eileen Schell Receives Chancellor's Award in Public Service:
Faculty and Staff Inspiration Award

At the recent (March 31), Chancellor's Award For Public Engagement & Scholarship Dinner, WP Director Eileen Schell received the Faculty and Staff Inspiration Award at the
Chancellor's Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship. This award is
given to faculty and staff that have motivated the students
also receiving awards and is the result of a nomination by the student.
Schell's nominator, Benjamin Croner, received an Individual Chancellor's Citation for community service. Croner, a senior majoring in policy studies and geography in The College of Arts and Sciences, became a volunteer at Hughes Magnet School through Schell's Writing 105 class. He has served as program coordinator for tutoring at Hughes and has volunteered with the Levy Breakfast Club, Skills for Success Program and Operation Reach. He has also been involved with AmeriCorps as a teacher and counselor for students affected by Hurricane Katrina.
