Molly Voorheis Receives Meredith Teaching Recognition Award

The Writing Program would like to congratulate Molly Voorheis, recipient of the Meredith Teaching Recognition Award for an adjunct or part-time instructor. The Meredith Recognition Award provides the recipient an expense account of $3,000 for professional development for one year. Its specific goals are to recognize excellence in teaching and to encourage a culture of collegial mentoring among faculty members.

Molly was nominated for this award by Carol Lipson (Director) on behalf of the Writing Program, saying that she "is one of the finest teachers in the Writing Program and one of the strongest part-time faculty members on the Syracuse University campus. She is a gifted teacher, passionately committed to her students' learning. Students frequently call her a great teacher, one of the best at SU."

The award will be presented during a reception on April 24.

Molly is the Writing Program's second Meredith Teaching Recognition Award recipient; Anne Fitzsimmons received the award in 2001.
